The Fun, Happy Poetry Competition Winner
of the "Guess The Winning Poem" Competition Bright
Light Multimedia proudly presents the winning poems The Winner A Child’s Gift by Valerie Williams Valerie Williams is 47, and parent to a teenage son who has just completed his secondary schooling. She has been writing for as long as she can remember, intrigued by the webs people weave as they move through life. To date, she has had one non-fiction book published, a research project on volunteering, and three poems. She works in a management role in the health system. She shares her life with friends, family, and two cats. Valerie has won AU$100 Congratulations, Valerie. Due to popularity and quality, Bright Light Multimedia has decided to award 2nd and 3rd place prizes (a choice of a Bright Light Multimedia product) to: 2nd Place Winner The Lost Wallet by Joan Ridley Joan Ridley is an 87 year old Australian. She enjoys travelling in her Isuzu truck, which she and her husband have transformed into a very comfortable motor home. Joan has won a Bright Light Multimedia product of her choice. Congratulations, Joan. 3rd Place Winner Tuesday Morning Mondayitis by Matt Bennetts Matt Bennetts is a 19 year old Australian, currently studying for his Bachelor of Arts degree at University. He dreams of writing for a living, and his hobbies include tennis and indoor football. Matt is an avid reader. This is the first poetry competition that Matt has entered. Matt has won a Bright Light Multimedia product of his choice. Congratulations, Matt. We thank everyone who participated in the Fun, Happy Poetry competition – it was very pleasing to realise the talent and humour present in the on-line poetry community. We received a wonderful array of fun, happy poems and we took the time with every entry to speak it out loud, to test its extended entertainment value. Some poems jumped out as entertaining audio pieces - the finalists were chosen from the most enjoyable of those poems. Congratulations to all six finalists in the Fun, Happy Poetry competition – they have our respect and appreciation. Each poem displayed humour and charm and they have all proved to be popular choices with you, our audience. Each of the poems has been narrated by professional actors, and all six finalists poems will be considered for future Bright Light Multimedia commercial publication.
