Corinia
Sad deep eyes ride upon a pale palomino,
burnoosed auburn hair hidden as is her smile.
Horse and lady fly beneath a hunter’s moon,
thundered hooves echo on behind.
She rides for a caravan of family, friends, and lover,
whose face is reflected in the mirror of her mind.
Gathered round the campfire mandolin folksongs stir,
morning will find them gone and she will be with them.
