Difference
A long time ago in a far, far away land,
Every thing was different, and I, a younger man.
And all the colors new and all the music bright,
A different drummer marched in a different light.
All my friends and I, were band in green and blue,
And in the cause of friendship would raise a glass or two.
We had a different cause, a different way to see
A different way to show ourselves against conformity.
Although the years have past as years must surely do,
We’ve gone our different ways and memories are few.
I often sit and wonder while I watch the sunlight fade,
What sort of difference our different lives have made.

"this poem brought nostalgic thoughts of fun times with family and friends in days gone by. it's interesting to compare our todays with the yesterdays to see the differences we have all made, both good and bad. i enjoyed your poetic thought to the "nth degree!"
