YTIVARG
I know it’s sure as shootin’
That since the days of Isaac Newton
When London Bridge is falling, it’s falling down.
But I say right to your face
That I have found a place
That would bring to old Sir Isaac one big frown.
So make a firm notation
Of this unusual location
And maybe give a toast and raise your cup.
Send up a couple flares
For while walking on the stairs,
I tripped and cross my heart, I fell up.
It seems gravity’s not there
Once you step upon the stair
An idea very strange and quite perverse.
Walking up can seem so hard
Until tripped and caught off guard
Suddenly experience ytivarg, gravity in reverse.
Science could be shocked
And foundations could be rocked
To hear that up is down and down is up
It really gives me pause
To reverse scientific laws
And all I’ve learned since when I was a pup.
I wonder if there are others
Cause I know if I had my druthers
I might be tempted to put the horse behind the cart
It would really save me time
When I’m writing a little rhyme
If I could finish before I even begin to start.
