The Lost Wallet

The cry goes out, it’s loud and clear
Please have you seen my wallet dear?
I had it yesterday I know
Without it, cash is running low.

I rang the pub and asked them there
Could I have left it in their care?
They hadn’t seen it, what a shame
I only have myself to blame.

I hunt about, look everywhere,
Including places that are rare
Oh! Me Oh! My. What shall I do?
I’ll have to cancel VISA too

It must be here, I’ll hunt again
I looked and looked but all in vain
Until I shook my blankets out
And there it was – without a doubt!

If only he could keep it safe
And put it in its proper place!

The Poet - Joan Ridley

Joan Ridley is an 87 year old Australian.  She enjoys travelling in her Isuzu truck, which she and her husband have transformed into a very comfortable motor home.

Joan is 2nd Place Winner in the Fun, Happy Poetry Competition.  She chose Bright Light Multimedia's Deep Relaxation/My Place of Tranquillity CD as her prize.  Congratulations, Joan.

Update:  Joan's family wrote to us in January 2006 with this very sad message:
"I regret to inform you that Joan died on May 5 2005.
Joan much enjoyed her short friendship with your organization. and I thank you for making her last year enjoyable."

Please, join us in sending Joan's family our love and best wishes. Joan Ridley will be missed.
