Cheaper
Than Therapy
When a package arrives and I open it wide
And quickly take out all the stuff found inside.
I discard all except in what the item was wrapped
That piece with the bubbles with the air that was trapped.
I spread the sheet out and look downward with glee.
And with my two fingers, I pop one, two, three.
I feel quite content and my face gets a glow
So I pop a few more and move on to the next row.
I’m feeling so good that I can’t think of stopping
And the room seems to fill with the sound of the popping.
Every worry and care and each little trouble
Seems to float on away with the pop of each bubble.
I then reach the end but I’m feeling quite mellow
All that popping and snapping made one very content fellow.
If you are like me, and contentment is truly a rarity,
Get a big piece of bubble wrap. It’s cheaper than therapy.

"I love this poem and my 12
year old son would love to do in a drama festival, but I need a hard
copy from a book. Is there a place i can purchase the book?"
