Lone Sunset

Lone Sunset
Wind seized stretch of sand at sunset,
slow susurration of waves that slither
over top of one another.
Dried husks of sage grass and forlorn weeds,
bowing away with the breeze that scatters the terns.
Terns that feed on seeds and a clam or two,
tossed upon the darkening shore.
