The Left Writes

When doing things throughout my life,
It has always been my plight
To usually do all things correct,
But to never do them right.

For I am one of just a few,
And with this group I stand
Never wrong but still not right
But on the other hand.

The hand I choose is never right
But I am not bereft
For I know when all is said and done,
I am always left.

I feel the pain when in the news
I hear those times of slights
When the A.C.L.U. and other groups,
Argue just for rights.

So I won’t exercise my right
While I exercise my right
It is right to write my rights
With left which is my rite.

So forward I keep on marching
Counting left rights as my left writes
What remains is on this paper
My left written bill of rights.

So all us other handed ones
The right side of the brain controls our kind
So of all the people in the world,
We’re the only ones in our right mind.
