Thinking
I
was thinking to myself
Of stars and moons and dreams.
I let my thoughts fly to the skies
And played with magic themes.
I
saw the future – grand and bright.
I saw my dream world shining.
I smelt the mint of brand new days.
I touched the silver lining.
I
moulded myths of truth and joy.
I played with words and tunes.
I painted gentle goodness
And sucked on golden spoons.
I
felt a power, more than me,
I flamed with something great,
I tasted words of wisdom,
Served easy, on a plate.
I
rose, I grew, I flew away,
I rode a placid sky.
I marvelled for too short a time
Then came home with a sigh.
A
universe still circled me
With stars and moons and dreams.
And there was still that whisper
Playing “nothing’s as it seems”
I
marvelled at my wondrous luck
Of knowing how to see
Beyond the boundaries of myself
Of making me feel free.
I
thought about how thinking
Affects us every day.
How every thought we ever have
Is like a mini-play.
I
hear the words though all is quiet,
I see the action too.
I share an endless time and space
Where everything is new.
I
think I must be lucky.
A channel or a link,
‘Cause everything is paradise
When all I do is think.
