Your
submission is read by our evaluation team,
who decide whether it
meets Bright Light Multimedia standards and criteria.
(Please check submission guidelines,
and the Bright Light Multimedia Vision.)
If
your submission is successful:
If
your submission is accepted by Bright Light Multimedia for
showcasing at The Bright Light Café, it may be edited (as
minimally as possible) to ensure acceptable grammar, spelling, polish, guideline
adherence, and easy readability for our audience.
Your
accepted submission is then transferred to its own Bright Light
Café showcase page, and embellished with related artwork and/or books
and/or novelties, carefully selected from our affiliates AllPosters.com and Amazon.com.
Your
by-line (100 words or less) is listed on the Showcased
Talent page, with links to your showcased page/s.
Your
successful submission is also listed on the index page of the
appropriate category (i.e. short stories,
poem, etc.).
Once
your showcase page is complete and uploaded to The Café website,
we will notify you by email.
In
your congratulatory email, we invite you to send us
your narration
of your written work. We know that people are often fascinated by the many
levels of a individual's talent so we
also invite you to submit any of your other creative talents that may
enhance your already successful submission.
If
anything more than minimal editing has been required for a submission to be accepted for
showcasing, the Bright Light evaluation team will add a few explanatory
comments to your email.
You
may also be asked for additional information to augment your
by-line.
It
is a good idea to send us a photo of yourself to accompany your
by-line.
Once
you have a successful submission, you may also be featured in the
Bright Light Multimedia and Bright Light Café newsletter “Brilliant!”, hopefully
encouraging a greater audience to your
linked page.
All
successful contributors will automatically become "Brilliant!"
subscribers and receive free entry in Bright Light Multimedia
writing competitions.
As
an additional service to promote your work, we may decide to
produce a narration of your piece featuring the professional voice talent of our
resident actress, Barbara Llewellyn.
We
also encourage the creative community to be inspired by your work
and to contribute something of
their own talent, whether it be art, voice, music, photography, etc.,
to further enhance your creation, and obviously promote their own
work.
If
your talents are showcased 8 times in any combination of creative
works, eg: writing, voiceover, art, music, then The Bright Light
Café will further promote your talent
by highlighting you – the author/creator/performer - on a separate
"Featured Artist"
page. You will be
asked to supply a fuller biography, and/or respond to a set of questions
(i.e. An interview with the creator/performer), and supply a photo
of yourself.
As
part of our product development programme, Bright Light Multimedia
will monitor the audience and creative community attraction and
reaction to each successful submission, with the view of including
the best performing pieces in future commercial product releases.
You will, of course, be notified, paid and contracted if any of
your successful submissions are to be included in these products.
