Della has managed, by revealing her own thoughts, to re-affirm that each of us has a purpose and a set of skills belonging to no-one else. It is certainly a successful life when we become who we are meant to be, doing what we are meant to be doing. Della
has won 3rd Prize Winner More Than I Deserve by Billy Johnson (short story) “More Than I Deserve” is a rich and evocative story.
It shares a strong and powerful personality, while
delivering a soft and powerful message of love and understanding.
For all of us who are privileged to know true love, it’s
a thought- provoking and smile-giving personal journey. Billy
has won Highly Commended Winners Children of the Sun by Daniel Gbemi Akinlolu (short story) “Children
of the Sun” is a
positive, uplifting story, mixing the mysterious with the mundane.
Many people voted for it from around the world,
particularly Australia, proving its message has universal appeal.
Accepting the need to follow one’s destiny is indeed a
basic element in the recipe for a successful life. Daniel
has won I Wish That I Could Catch Your Laugh by Narissa Doumani (poem) “I Wish that I could Catch Your Laugh” is a delightful
and charming poem. It
joyfully bounces into the heart and mind, while still exposing a
deep and mature love. It
achieves a major aim of all writing – it touches the emotions,
and leaves the reader with a smile on their face. Narissa
has won Worldly Success by Nicole West (poem) “Worldly Success” is a wonderful emotional roller coaster around the world. It takes the mind and heart on a quick yet remarkably evocative journey. We love the way it creates a feeling of happiness and travel-bliss for the reader and then uses that positive emotional outcome to bring home the point of the poem –feelings of joy are exactly what make our lives a complete success.
