Barbara and her partner, Rod Kirkham, ran a highly successful jingle company in Perth before going to America as songwriters. Upon their return to Sydney, Australia they returned to the jingle industry and continued with their jingle creation when they moved to Brisbane, Australia. Barbara and Rod have always maintained artistic control over their jingle work, producing and editing high quality products.

Barbara has been a song writer since the 1970’s and continues to write, produce and edit her own work to this very day.

Barbara has also taken on the job of editing all voice over work that appears on the Bright Light Cafe, spending many hours ensuring that every click and pop is removed so that all performances run smoothly and gracefully into the listener's ears.

Barbara and her partner, Rod Kirkham, created a Production Company in Brisbane that ran during the 1980’s  writing, producing, directing, presenting and editing corporate videos for the Information Technology industry.

Writing

Barbara is a professional writer, who goes through a meticulous editing process with every book, story, article and poem that she writes.

Barbara has also been the creative and editorial force behind the Bright Light Café Since its conception in 2004,.  She has lovingly polished many pieces that now grace its pages, ensuring that the highest possible quality is presented to the café’s audience.
